Omeprazole GPO 20 mg

Indication

Antiulcerant (proton pump inhibitor) for the treatment of duodenal ulcer, gastric ulcer, reflux oesophagitis and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.

Ingredients

• Omeprazole 20 mg

Direction

For duodenal ulcer, 1 capsule in the morning for 2-4 weeks. For gastric ulcer and reflux oesophagitis, 1 capsule in the morning for 4-8 weeks. Patients refractory to other regimens, 40 mg once daily. Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, initially 60 mg once daily or as directed by the physician.

Precautions

• Safety and efficacy in children younger than 2 years of age have not been established.
• When gastric ulcer is suspected
• the possibility of malignancy should be excluded as treatment may alleviate symptoms and delay diagnosis.
