Cimetidine (EPHAC) 400 mg

Indication

Cimetidine is a histamine H2-receptor antagonist that reduces stomach acid. It is used for active gastric and duodenal ulcers, maintenance of duodenal ulcer, oesophagitis secondary to gastro-oesophageal reflux and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.

Ingredients

• Cimetidine 400 mg

Direction

For gastric or duodenal ulcer: 1 tablet at breakfast and 1 tablet at bedtime, or 2 tablets at bedtime. Maintenance treatment: 1 tablet at bedtime. Oesophagitis: 200 mg to 400 mg four times daily. Zollinger-Ellison syndrome: 2 g per day. Follow the prescribed doses; prescription only.
