Cotrim P.P.M 200 mg + 40 mg / 5 mL

Indication

Treatment of infections caused by susceptible micro-organisms, including genitourinary tract infections, upper and lower respiratory tract infections, otitis, sinusitis, gastrointestinal tract infections, typhoid fever, and Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia.

Ingredients

• Sulfamethoxazole
• Trimethoprim

Direction

The usual dose is sulfamethoxazole 15 mg/kg and trimethoprim 3 mg/kg twice daily: 6 weeks to 5 months 2.5 mL twice daily; 6 months to 5 years 5 mL twice daily; 6 to 12 years 10 mL twice daily. Follow the prescribed dose. Shake well before use.

Precautions
