Duphalac 667 mg / ml

Indication

Osmotic laxative. Treatment of constipation and regulation of the colonic physiological rhythm; used when soft stool is of medical benefit (haemorrhoids, post colonic/anal surgery); and for the treatment and prevention of hepatic encephalopathy (hepatic coma or precoma).

Direction

Take orally. Adults and adolescents: starting dose 15-45 ml daily, maintenance 15-30 ml daily; adjust dose to individual need. May be diluted in water or other liquid. Read the enclosed leaflet before use.

Side effects

• May cause flatulence
• abdominal discomfort or cramps
• especially at the start of treatment
• diarrhoea at high doses. If side effects persist
• consult a doctor or pharmacist.

Precautions
