Newfed 2.5 mg / 5 mg / 0.5 mg per 5 mL

Indication

Symptomatic treatment of nasal congestion and hypersecretion during acute rhinopharyngeal conditions, colds and allergic rhinitis.

Ingredients

• Triprolidine HCl 2.5 mg
• Phenylephrine HCl 5.0 mg
• Chlorpheniramine maleate 0.5 mg

Direction

Oral route, for adults and children over 6 months. Children 6-30 months: half a teaspoon twice per 24 hours. Children 30 months to 6 years: half a teaspoon three times per 24 hours. Children 6-12 years: one teaspoon three times per 24 hours. Do not exceed a 5-day course.

Side effects

• May cause drowsiness or sedation
• palpitations
• tachycardia
• hypertension
• nausea
• vomiting
• dry mouth
• sweating
• itching or hives. If any unusual reaction occurs
• consult a doctor or pharmacist.

Precautions

• On prescription only. Contraindicated in hypersensitivity
• children under 6 months
• history of stroke or its risk factors
• severe or poorly controlled hypertension
• severe coronary insufficiency
• angle
• closure glaucoma
• urinary retention
• seizure history
• pregnancy and breastfeeding. Strictly respect the dosage. Keep out of reach of children. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use.
