Indication
- Type 2 diabetes mellitus - Management of high blood sugar - Adjunct to diet and exercise
Ingredients
- Glimepiride
Direction
Take orally once daily with breakfast or the first main meal of the day. Do not crush or chew the tablet.
Side effects
- Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar)
- Dizziness
- Nausea
- Headache
- Weight gain
Precautions
- Risk of severe hypoglycemia
- History of sulfonamide allergy
- Avoid alcohol while taking medication
- Caution in renal or hepatic impairment
- Monitor blood glucose levels regularly
