Indication

A broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections including urinary tract, respiratory tract, gastrointestinal, skin, bone and joint infections caused by susceptible organisms.

Direction

Dosage according to physician's advice. Swallow the tablet whole with plenty of water. Do not take with dairy products or mineral-fortified products alone.

Side effects

• May cause nausea
• diarrhea
• dizziness
• headache
• or in rare cases tendinitis and tendon rupture. Consult a doctor or pharmacist if any side effects occur.

Precautions

• Fluoroquinolones are associated with an increased risk of tendinitis and tendon rupture
• especially in patients over 60
• those taking corticosteroids
• and transplant patients. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use.
