Indication

A broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections including urinary tract, respiratory tract, gastrointestinal, skin, bone and joint infections caused by susceptible organisms.

Precautions

• Fluoroquinolones are associated with an increased risk of tendinitis and tendon rupture
• especially in patients over 60
• those taking corticosteroids
• and transplant patients. Do not exceed the prescribed dose. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use.
