Indication
- Acute and persistent diarrhea - Treatment of zinc deficiency - Prevention of zinc deficiency - Excessive zinc loss conditions
Ingredients
- Zinc Sulphate Monohydrate
Direction
Take orally, preferably one hour before or two hours after meals. For pediatric diarrhea, dissolve the dispersible tablet in water or ORS and administer once daily for 10 to 14 days.
Side effects
- Nausea and vomiting
- Abdominal pain
- Dyspepsia or indigestion
- Metallic taste
- Gastric irritation
- Headache
Precautions
- Hypersensitivity to zinc preparations
- Accumulation in renal failure
- Decreased absorption with food
- Interacts with tetracyclines
- fluoroquinolones
- Diminishes effect of penicillamine
