Indication
- Occasional constipation relief - Bowel cleansing before surgery - Bowel preparation before colonoscopy
Ingredients
- Bisacodyl
Direction
Swallow tablets whole with water, usually before bedtime. Do not crush, chew, or take within one hour of milk or antacids.
Side effects
- Abdominal cramps or pain
- Diarrhea or loose stools
- Nausea or vomiting
- Electrolyte imbalance with overuse
Precautions
- Do not chew or crush tablets
- Avoid milk or antacids within hour
- Do not use over five days
- Contraindicated in bowel obstruction
- Contraindicated in acute appendicitis
