Indication
- Prevention of angina pectoris - Chronic management of coronary artery disease - Adjunctive treatment for congestive heart failure
Ingredients
- Isosorbide Dinitrate
Direction
Take orally on an empty stomach, usually 2 to 3 times daily. Maintain a nitrate-free interval each day to prevent drug tolerance.
Side effects
- Severe headache
- Dizziness and lightheadedness
- Flushing of the face
- Orthostatic hypotension
- Paradoxical bradycardia
Precautions
- Do not use with PDE5 inhibitors
- Risk of severe hypotension
- Avoid sudden drug withdrawal
- Caution with severe anemia
- Monitor for nitrate tolerance
