Amitriptyline Hydrochloride 25 mg

Indication

Antidepressant. Used to treat depression and depressive symptoms.

Direction

Oral. Adults: initially 25 mg two to four times a day, adjusted as needed up to 150 mg a day. Adolescents and elderly: 10 mg three times a day and 20 mg before bedtime, up to 100 mg a day in divided doses or once before bedtime. Children 6-12 years: 10-30 mg a day in two divided doses, or as directed by the physician.

• May include drowsiness

• constipation

• Prescription medicine
