Colodium 2 mg

Indication

Antidiarrhoeal used for the symptomatic treatment of acute and chronic diarrhoea. Loperamide slows intestinal motility and reduces the number of loose stools.

Ingredients

• Loperamide Hydrochloride 2 mg

Direction

For oral use. Adults: usually 2 capsules initially, then 1 capsule after each unformed stool; refer to package insert for full dosage. Do not exceed the recommended dose.

Side effects

• May cause constipation
• abdominal cramps
• bloating
• nausea or dizziness. Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if symptoms persist or worsen.

Precautions

• Not recommended for children under 6 years of age. Do not use in bloody diarrhoea or high fever. Maintain fluid intake. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use if pregnant or breastfeeding.
