Indication

Corticosteroid used for endocrine disorders, rheumatic disorders, dermatologic diseases and allergic states.

Ingredients

• Triamcinolone 4 mg

Direction

Adults: 2-4 tablets (8-16 mg) per day in 3-4 divided doses after meals, or as directed by a physician.

Side effects

• May cause fluid retention
• raised blood sugar
• increased appetite
• weight gain and mood changes
• with prolonged use
• thinning of the skin and osteoporosis. Consult a doctor or pharmacist.

Precautions

• Not for long
• term unsupervised use. Use with caution in diabetes
• high blood pressure
• peptic ulcer
• infection and pregnancy. Do not stop abruptly after prolonged use. Consult a doctor or pharmacist.
