Cutanes 10 mg

Indication

Treatment of severe acne (nodular, cystic) that is refractory to other treatments, especially cystic acne associated with trunk lesions.

Ingredients

• Isotretinoin 10 mg

Direction

Initial dose as isotretinoin 0.5 mg per kg of body weight daily, or as directed by a physician. Refer to the package insert.

Side effects

• Commonly causes dry lips
• skin and eyes
• nosebleeds and muscle aches
• may raise blood lipids and liver enzymes. Consult a doctor or pharmacist.

Precautions

• Must not be used in pregnancy
• it causes serious birth defects. Effective contraception is required. Avoid vitamin A supplements and blood donation during treatment. Consult a doctor or pharmacist.
