Indication
- Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus - Glycemic control improvement - Adjunct to diet and exercise
Ingredients
- Sitagliptin and Metformin Hydrochloride
Direction
Take orally with meals to reduce gastrointestinal side effects. Usually taken twice daily as prescribed by a physician.
Side effects
- Diarrhea
- Nausea and vomiting
- Flatulence
- Headache
- Upper respiratory tract infection
Precautions
- Risk of lactic acidosis
- Renal function monitoring required
- Risk of acute pancreatitis
- Avoid excessive alcohol consumption
- Contraindicated in severe renal failure
