Indication
- Hypertension (high blood pressure) - Chronic stable angina pectoris - Vasospastic angina (Prinzmetal's angina) - Raynaud's phenomenon prevention
Ingredients
- Nifedipine
Direction
Swallow the tablet whole once daily with water. Do not crush, chew, or break the long-acting tablet.
Side effects
- Peripheral edema (swelling)
- Headache
- Dizziness
- Flushing
- Constipation
- Palpitations
Precautions
- Avoid grapefruit and grapefruit juice
- Risk of excessive hypotension
- Monitor patients with liver impairment
- Do not stop therapy abruptly
- May worsen heart failure symptoms
- Not for acute angina attacks
