Indication
- Type 2 diabetes mellitus - Glycemic control improvement - Adjunct to diet and exercise
Ingredients
- Sitagliptin and Metformin hydrochloride
Direction
Take orally twice daily with meals to reduce gastrointestinal side effects. Swallow tablets whole; do not crush, break, or chew.
Side effects
- Diarrhea
- Nausea and vomiting
- Flatulence
- Headache
- Upper respiratory tract infection
- Metallic taste in mouth
Precautions
- Risk of lactic acidosis
- Monitor renal function regularly
- Risk of acute pancreatitis
- Avoid excessive alcohol intake
- Discontinue before iodinated contrast imaging
