Clamide 5 mg

Indication

Oral antidiabetic (sulfonylurea) used to control blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus, together with diet and exercise.

Ingredients

• Glibenclamide 5 mg

Direction

For oral use. Take as prescribed by a doctor, usually with or immediately after a meal. Refer to the package insert for dosage and other information.

Side effects

• May cause low blood sugar (hypoglycaemia) with symptoms such as sweating
• trembling
• hunger
• dizziness or confusion
• nausea
• stomach upset
• weight gain and skin rash may also occur.
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop if irritation
• allergy
• or any adverse reaction occurs.

Precautions

• Prescription medicine (POM). Do not skip meals while taking this medicine
• alcohol and some other medicines increase the risk of hypoglycaemia.
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
• especially if you have kidney or liver disease
• are elderly
• pregnant or breastfeeding.
