Indication
Slow-release biguanide antidiabetic used to control blood sugar in type 2 diabetes mellitus, alone or with other antidiabetic medicines.
Ingredients
- Metformin Hydrochloride 850 mg
Direction
For oral use. Refer to the package insert for dosage and other information.
Side effects
- May cause nausea
- diarrhoea
- abdominal discomfort and a metallic taste
- rarely lactic acidosis or reduced vitamin B12 absorption. Consult a doctor or pharmacist.
Precautions
- Not for use in severe kidney or liver impairment
- or acute conditions causing dehydration. Consult a doctor or pharmacist.
