Diamide 5 mg / 500 mg

Indication

Oral antidiabetic combination used to control blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus when diet, exercise and a single oral antidiabetic are not sufficient.

Ingredients

• Glibenclamide 5 mg
• Metformin hydrochloride 500 mg

Direction

For oral use. Take as prescribed by a doctor, with or immediately after meals. Refer to the package insert for dosage and other information.

Side effects

• May cause low blood sugar (hypoglycaemia)
• nausea
• diarrhoea
• abdominal discomfort
• a metallic taste and
• rarely
• lactic acidosis.

• or any adverse reaction occurs.

Precautions

• Prescription medicine (POM). Do not skip meals
• avoid alcohol. Treatment must be stopped before surgery or procedures using iodinated contrast media.
