Indication

Mucolytic that loosens mucus and eases cough in respiratory conditions with thick or viscous sputum.

Ingredients

• Carbocysteine

Direction

Adults: usually 2 tablets three times daily, or as directed by a doctor. Swallow with water.

Side effects

• May include nausea
• stomach upset
• diarrhoea
• headache and skin rash. Consult a doctor or pharmacist.

Precautions

• Not for patients with active peptic ulcer. Seek medical advice if symptoms persist or if a rash or allergic reaction occurs. Keep out of reach of children. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use.
