Flox-O 200 mg

Indication

Fluoroquinolone antibiotic used to treat susceptible bacterial infections, including urinary tract infections, respiratory tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and certain gastrointestinal and genital infections.

Ingredients

• Ofloxacin

Direction

As directed by the physician. Swallow with a full glass of water and complete the prescribed course even if symptoms improve.

Side effects

• May include nausea
• vomiting
• diarrhoea
• abdominal pain
• headache
• dizziness
• insomnia and rash. Consult a doctor or pharmacist.

Precautions

• Tendon inflammation or rupture and nerve problems can occur
• especially in older people or those taking corticosteroids
• stop the medicine and seek advice if tendon pain develops. Avoid in people with a history of quinolone hypersensitivity
• and use with caution in epilepsy
• kidney disease
• pregnancy and breastfeeding. Avoid taking antacids
• iron or calcium at the same time. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use.
