Glopril 5 mg

Indication

Treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension), heart failure, and to improve survival after a heart attack. Also used to protect kidney function in diabetic patients with kidney disease.

Ingredients

• Lisinopril dihydrate USP equivalent to Lisinopril 5 mg

Direction

As directed by the physician. For oral use — swallow the tablet with water, usually once daily at about the same time each day.

Side effects

• Dry persistent cough
• dizziness
• headache
• low blood pressure and raised blood potassium have been reported. Swelling of the face
• lips or throat (angioedema) is rare but requires immediate medical attention. If you experience any side effect
• consult a doctor or pharmacist. Stop use and seek medical help if irritation or an allergic reaction occurs.

Precautions

• Prescription only medicine. Keep this medicine out of reach of children. Must not be used during pregnancy — tell your doctor immediately if you become pregnant. Use with caution in kidney impairment or renal artery stenosis
• and avoid potassium supplements unless your doctor advises. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
• especially if breastfeeding or taking other medicines. Stop use and seek medical help if irritation or an allergic reaction occurs.
