Diamicron MR 60 mg

Indication

Oral antidiabetic (sulfonylurea) used to lower blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus when diet, exercise and weight loss alone are not sufficient.

Ingredients

• Gliclazide 60 mg

Direction

Oral use. Follow your doctor's dosing instructions; usually taken once daily with breakfast. The tablets are scored and can be broken into 2 equal halves. Swallow a half tablet or whole tablet(s) in one piece. Do not chew or crush. Read the package leaflet before use.

Side effects

• May cause low blood sugar (hypoglycaemia) with symptoms such as sweating
• trembling
• hunger
• dizziness or confusion
• nausea
• stomach upset and skin reactions may also occur.
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use and stop if irritation
• allergy
• or any adverse reaction occurs.

Precautions

• Medicinal product subject to medical prescription. Do not skip meals while taking this medicine
• alcohol and some other medicines increase the risk of hypoglycaemia. Contains lactose.
