Glopril 10 mg

Indication

Treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension), symptomatic heart failure, and short-term treatment following acute myocardial infarction in haemodynamically stable patients. Also used to treat renal complications of diabetes mellitus in hypertensive patients.

Ingredients

• Lisinopril Dihydrate USP equivalent to Lisinopril 10 mg

Direction

Oral use. Dosage as directed by the physician. Usually taken once daily at about the same time each day, with or without food. The dose is started low and titrated by the doctor according to blood pressure response. Do not stop treatment without medical advice.

Side effects

• Common: dizziness
• headache
• a persistent dry cough
• fatigue
• and low blood pressure especially after the first dose. Also reported: nausea
• diarrhoea
• rash
• and increased blood potassium or changes in kidney function tests. Rare but serious: angioedema (swelling of the face
• lips
• tongue or throat)
• which requires immediate medical attention. If you experience any side effects
• consult a doctor or pharmacist.

Precautions

• Contraindicated in pregnancy and in patients with a history of angioedema related to ACE inhibitor therapy. Not to be used with aliskiren
• containing medicines in patients with diabetes or renal impairment. Use with caution in kidney impairment
• renal artery stenosis
• and in patients taking potassium supplements

• kidney function and potassium should be monitored. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant
