Indication
Treatment of allergic conditions: respiratory (perennial and seasonal allergic rhinitis, hay fever, non-seasonal spasmodic coryza), cutaneous (allergic pruritic dermatological conditions, chronic urticaria, cold dermographism), ocular (allergic conjunctivitis and rhino-conjunctivitis with ocular itching), and Quincke's oedema (angioedema) outside of emergency shock treatment.
Ingredients
- Cetirizine dihydrochloride 10 mg
Direction
Oral use. Adults and children 12 years and over: 1 tablet (10 mg) once daily. Children 6 to 12 years: half a tablet (5 mg) twice daily or 1 tablet (10 mg) once daily. Swallow with water, with or without food. Reduce the dose in patients with renal impairment. Do not exceed the prescribed dose. Follow your doctor's or pharmacist's instructions.
Side effects
- Drowsiness and fatigue
- Dry mouth
- Headache and dizziness
- Nausea or abdominal discomfort
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist if any side effect persists or worsens
Precautions
- May cause drowsiness — take care when driving or operating machinery
- Avoid alcohol during treatment
- Dose reduction is required in renal impairment
- Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless prescribed
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
- and stop use if irritation or an allergic reaction occurs
