Indication

- Schizophrenia and other psychoses - Management of manic phases - Nausea and vomiting - Intractable hiccups - Acute intermittent porphyria - Behavioral problems in children

Ingredients

• Chlorpromazine Hydrochloride

Direction

Take orally. Dosage frequency varies from 2 to 4 times daily depending on the condition being treated.

Side effects

• Sedation and drowsiness
• Dry mouth and constipation
• Extrapyramidal symptoms (tremors/rigidity)
• Significant weight gain
• Increased skin sensitivity to sunlight

Precautions

• Risk of tardive dyskinesia
• May cause orthostatic hypotension
• Increased mortality in elderly with dementia
• Monitor liver function periodically
• Avoid alcohol consumption during use
