Medixon 16 16 mg

Indication

A corticosteroid used for its anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive effects. Indicated in allergic conditions, asthma and other respiratory disorders, rheumatic and musculoskeletal disorders, inflammatory skin conditions, and other conditions responsive to corticosteroid therapy, as determined by a doctor.

Ingredients

• Methylprednisolone 16 mg

Direction

On medical prescription only. Take by mouth exactly as prescribed by a doctor, preferably with food to reduce stomach irritation. The dose is individual and depends on the condition being treated and the response to therapy. Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly after prolonged use — the dose must be reduced gradually under medical supervision. Please refer to the enclosed leaflet for full dosage details.

Precautions

• On medical prescription only. Do not use without medical supervision
• Do not use if you are allergic to methylprednisolone or other corticosteroids
• Do not use if you have a systemic fungal infection or any untreated active infection
• Live vaccines should not be given during treatment with high doses
• Use with caution in diabetes

• Corticosteroids can mask the signs of infection and lower resistance to new infections
• Never stop treatment abruptly after prolonged use

• Store at temperature below 30°C and protect from light. Keep out of reach of children
