Panadol Extra 500 mg / 65 mg

Indication

Contains paracetamol, an analgesic and antipyretic, and caffeine, an adjuvant to the analgesic effect of paracetamol. Treatment of mild to moderate pain and relief of fever including headache, migraine, sore throat, muscle ache, dysmenorrhoea, musculoskeletal pain, fever and pain after vaccination, pain after dental procedures or tooth extraction, toothache, earache/otalgia, pain of osteoarthritis, and respiratory tract infections including cold and flu.

Direction

Adults (including the elderly) and children aged 12 years and over: oral administration only. 1 or 2 tablets every 4 to 6 hours as required. Minimum dosing interval: 4 hours. Maximum daily dose: 8 tablets (4000 mg paracetamol / 520 mg caffeine). Do not exceed the stated dose.

Side effects

• Adverse effects are uncommon at recommended doses. Caffeine may cause restlessness or difficulty sleeping. Rarely
• hypersensitivity reactions may occur. Consult a doctor or pharmacist if any side effects occur.

Precautions

• Contraindicated in patients with a previous history of hypersensitivity to paracetamol
• caffeine or excipients. Do not exceed the stated dose. Do not use if the blister is broken. Avoid other paracetamol
• containing medicines. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use if you are pregnant
• breastfeeding or taking other medicines.
