Indication
- High cholesterol (hypercholesterolemia) - Prevention of cardiovascular disease - Risk reduction of heart attack - Risk reduction of stroke - Reduction of elevated triglycerides
Ingredients
- Atorvastatin Calcium
Direction
Take orally once daily, with or without food, at the same time each day as prescribed.
Side effects
- Muscle pain (myalgia)
- Joint pain (arthralgia)
- Diarrhea
- Common cold symptoms (nasopharyngitis)
- Urinary tract infections
Precautions
- Contraindicated in active liver disease
- Contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding
- Avoid excessive grapefruit juice consumption
- Monitor for unexplained muscle pain
- Monitor liver enzyme levels regularly
