Omecid 20 mg

Indication

A proton pump inhibitor that reduces stomach acid production. Used in the treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcers, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD), reflux oesophagitis, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, and as part of regimens for the eradication of Helicobacter pylori.

Direction

As directed by the physician. Swallow the gastro-resistant capsule whole with water; do not chew or crush. For oral use.

Side effects

• May cause headache
• diarrhoea
• constipation
• abdominal pain
• nausea or flatulence. Rarely
• allergic reactions may occur. Consult a doctor or pharmacist if any side effects occur.

Precautions

• Prescription medicine — use only as directed by a physician. Long
