Roxicam-Forte 20 mg

Indication

Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to relieve pain, swelling and stiffness in rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, acute gout and acute musculoskeletal disorders.

Ingredients

• Piroxicam

Direction

Adults: one 20 mg capsule once daily, taken with food or a glass of milk. Do not exceed the prescribed dose. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest possible time, or as directed by a doctor.

Side effects

• May cause stomach pain
• nausea
• indigestion
• heartburn
• diarrhoea
• dizziness
• headache or skin rash. Serious gastrointestinal bleeding or ulceration can occur without warning. Stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if any side effect occurs or persists.

Precautions

• Not for people with active peptic ulcer
• gastrointestinal bleeding
• severe heart
• liver or kidney impairment
• or a history of asthma or allergic reaction to aspirin or other NSAIDs. Avoid during the third trimester of pregnancy and while breastfeeding. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use.
