Indication
Treatment of external infections of the eye and its adnexa caused by susceptible bacteria, such as bacterial conjunctivitis, blepharitis, keratitis and keratoconjunctivitis.
Ingredients
- Tobramycin 3 mg/ml (0.3%)
Direction
Instill one or two drops into the affected eye every four hours. In severe infections, instill two drops every hour until improvement, then reduce the frequency. Use as directed by the physician.
Side effects
- May cause transient eye irritation
- stinging
- burning
- itching
- eyelid swelling or conjunctival redness. Hypersensitivity reactions and
- rarely
- superinfection with non
- susceptible organisms may occur with prolonged use. If any unusual symptom occurs
- stop using and consult a doctor or pharmacist.
Precautions
- Do not use if you are allergic to tobramycin or other aminoglycosides. Not for injection into the eye. Discard 4 weeks after first opening. Avoid touching the dropper tip to the eye or any surface. Remove contact lenses before instillation and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting. Prolonged use may lead to overgrowth of non
- susceptible organisms. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding
- consult a doctor or pharmacist before use.
