Polydexa 650000 IU / 1000000 IU / 100 mg per 100 ml

Indication

Ear solution used to treat infected inflammation of the external ear canal, including infectious eczema of the ear canal and external otitis, when the eardrum is intact.

Ingredients

• Neomycin sulfate 650000 IU / 100 ml
• Polymyxin B sulfate 1000000 IU / 100 ml
• Dexamethasone metasulfobenzoate sodium 100 mg / 100 ml

Direction

Instill 1 to 5 drops into the affected ear twice a day, for no longer than 7 days, or as directed by a doctor. Do not swallow. For ear use only.

Side effects

• Local irritation
• burning or stinging in the ear canal
• Allergic contact reactions such as itching or rash
• If any side effect persists or worsens

Precautions

• Do not use if the eardrum is perforated
• Do not use in case of allergy to neomycin
• polymyxin B
• dexamethasone or thiomersal
• Contains thiomersal
