Indication

A non-opioid analgesic (NSAID) indicated for the short-term management of moderate to severe acute pain, such as pain after surgery. Given by intramuscular or intravenous injection by a healthcare professional.

Ingredients

• Ketorolac trometamol 30 mg per 1 mL ampoule

Direction

For intramuscular or intravenous injection, administered by a healthcare professional. Dosage is determined by the doctor according to the patient's age, weight and pain severity. Side effects

• May cause stomach pain
• indigestion
• nausea
• drowsiness
• headache
• dizziness
• and pain at the injection site. Serious effects such as stomach bleeding or ulcers
• kidney problems

Precautions

• Prescription only. Do not use if you are allergic to ketorolac
• aspirin or other NSAIDs
• or if you have active stomach ulcers or bleeding
• severe kidney impairment
• or a bleeding disorder. Not for use during labour
• delivery or breast
• feeding
• or before major surgery. Tell your doctor about all other medicines you take
• especially other NSAIDs or blood thinners. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use.
