Indication

Iron supplement indicated for the curative treatment of iron deficiency anaemia in adults, children and infants, and for the preventive or curative treatment of iron deficiency in pregnant women, infants and children when dietary iron intake is insufficient.

Ingredients

• Ferrous gluconate hydrate equivalent to iron 50 mg
• Manganese gluconate equivalent to manganese 1.33 mg
• Copper gluconate equivalent to copper 0.70 mg

Direction

Oral use. Dilute the contents of the ampoule in water or a non-alcoholic drink and take before meals, or as directed by a doctor. Do not inject.

Side effects

• May cause gastrointestinal upset
• nausea
• abdominal pain
• constipation or diarrhoea
• and a harmless darkening of the stools. Teeth may be temporarily stained. If effects persist or worsen

Precautions

• Not for injection. Do not use in iron overload conditions or anaemia not caused by iron deficiency without medical advice. Keep out of the sight and reach of children — accidental overdose of iron is dangerous in young children. Contains glucose
