Vitamin B6 100 mg / 2 ml

Indication

Treatment and prevention of vitamin B6 deficiency, including deficiency induced by isoniazid or other medicines. Also used in pyridoxine-responsive anaemia and as an adjunct in the management of isoniazid overdose.

Ingredients

• Vitamin B6 100 mg per 2 ml

Direction

For intramuscular or intravenous use. To be administered by a healthcare professional. Dose and frequency as prescribed by the physician.

Side effects

• Generally well tolerated at usual doses. May cause pain at the injection site

Precautions

• Contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity to pyridoxine. Pyridoxine reduces the effect of levodopa when given without a decarboxylase inhibitor. Avoid prolonged high
