Indication

Bronchodilator used for the relief and prevention of bronchospasm in asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema and other conditions associated with reversible airway obstruction. Also used to prevent exercise-induced bronchospasm.

Ingredients

• Salbutamol sulfate

Direction

For inhalation use. Shake well before use. Adults: usually 1 to 2 puffs for relief of acute bronchospasm, up to 4 times daily. Children: usually 1 puff, up to 4 times daily. To prevent exercise-induced bronchospasm: 1 to 2 puffs 10 to 15 minutes before exercise. Do not exceed the dose prescribed by your doctor.

Side effects

• Fine tremor of the hands
• headache
• palpitations
• rapid heartbeat
• muscle cramps and nervousness may occur. If side effects persist or worsen
• consult a doctor or pharmacist.

Precautions

• Do not use if allergic to salbutamol. Inform your doctor if you have heart disease
• irregular heartbeat
• high blood pressure
• overactive thyroid or diabetes. Seek medical attention if your usual dose becomes less effective or you need it more often. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use.
