Indication

Local treatment of vaginitis caused by susceptible organisms: bacterial vaginitis, vaginal candidiasis (yeast infection), trichomonal vaginitis and mixed vaginal infections. Also used to prevent vaginal infection before gynaecological surgery, before or after fitting an intrauterine device, and before or after childbirth or abortion.

Ingredients

• Ternidazole 200 mg
• Neomycin sulphate 100 mg (65

• Nystatin 100
• 000 IU
• Prednisolone 3 mg (as sodium metasulfobenzoate)

Direction

For vaginal use only. Adults: 1 vaginal tablet inserted deep into the vagina at bedtime, usually for 10 days. Moisten the tablet in water for 20 to 30 seconds before insertion, then lie down for at least 15 minutes. Do not swallow. Complete the full course even during menstruation. On medical prescription only; strictly follow the prescribed doses.

Side effects

• especially at the start of treatment
• Increased vaginal discharge
• Skin rash
• redness or allergic reaction to neomycin
• Rare cases of vaginal dryness or discomfort during intercourse

Precautions
