Poro 250 mg

Indication

Symptomatic relief of fever and pain (headache, muscle ache) associated with the common cold in children. The rectal route is useful when a child is vomiting, refuses to swallow, or cannot take medicine by mouth.

Ingredients

• Paracetamol (Acetaminophen) 250 mg

Direction

Rectal route only. Not to be taken orally. Children 6 to 12 years: 1 to 2 suppositories of 250 mg, inserted deep into the rectum every 4 hours as needed, up to 4 times daily. Do not swallow.

Side effects

• Local irritation
• burning or discomfort in the rectum
• Skin rash or itching in rare cases
• Rare allergic reactions
• Liver damage may occur if the recommended dose is exceeded
• If symptoms persist or worsen

Precautions

• This preparation contains paracetamol
• do not take other paracetamol
• containing medicines at the same time
• Do not exceed the recommended dose
• overdose of paracetamol can cause serious liver damage
• Not for use in patients with severe liver disease or known allergy to paracetamol
• Do not use if there is rectal bleeding
• inflammation or recent rectal surgery
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist if fever lasts more than 3 days or pain lasts more than 5 days
