Opsar Boric acid 1.24 g / Sodium borate 0.02 g / Sodium chloride 0.29 g / Benzalkonium chloride 2 mg per 100 ml

Indication

Eye lotion used to remove foreign bodies and to wash out mucous secretion and purulent discharges from the eyes. Used to cleanse dust from the eyes and to relieve irritation.

Ingredients

• Boric acid
• Sodium borate
• Sodium chloride
• Benzalkonium chloride

Direction

Use copiously as required or as directed by the physician, usually 1 to 2 times a day. Pour about 5 ml of the lotion into the eye cup, bend the head down slightly and fit the cup over the eye, then tilt the head back with the cup in place and keep the eye open. For external use only. Do not swallow.

Side effects

• May cause temporary mild stinging or eye irritation. Prolonged or frequent use of solutions containing benzalkonium chloride may irritate the eye surface. If eye pain

• continued redness or irritation occur or worsen

Precautions

• For external use only — do not swallow. Do not use if you are allergic to boric acid
• benzalkonium chloride or any component of this product. Do not use if the solution changes colour or becomes cloudy. Clean the eye cup before and after each use to avoid contamination. Remove contact lenses before use. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant
