Indication
- Hypertension - Angina pectoris - Cardiac arrhythmias - Migraine prophylaxis - Essential tremor - Anxiety symptoms - Hypertrophic subaortic stenosis - Pheochromocytoma management
Ingredients
- Propranolol Hydrochloride
Direction
Take orally as directed by a physician, usually 2 to 3 times daily. Do not stop taking this medication abruptly without consulting a doctor.
Side effects
- Fatigue and lethargy
- Bradycardia (slow heart rate)
- Cold hands and feet
- Sleep disturbances or nightmares
- Dizziness or lightheadedness
- Gastrointestinal upset
Precautions
- Contraindicated in asthma or COPD
- May mask symptoms of hypoglycemia
- Do not discontinue abruptly
- Monitor heart rate and blood pressure
- Use caution with heart failure
- Avoid if bradycardia is present
