Indication
- Major depressive disorder - Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) - Bulimia nervosa - Panic disorder - Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD)
Ingredients
- Fluoxetine
Direction
Take orally once daily, usually in the morning, with or without food. Consistent timing is important for maintaining stable blood levels.
Side effects
- Nausea
- Insomnia
- Sexual dysfunction
- Dry mouth
- Drowsiness
- Increased sweating
Precautions
- Increased risk of suicidal thinking
- Do not use with MAOIs
- Risk of serotonin syndrome
- Monitoring for mood/behavior changes
- Potential for QT interval prolongation
