Indication
- Postherpetic neuralgia (nerve pain) - Adjunctive therapy for partial seizures - Neuropathic pain management - Restless legs syndrome relief
Ingredients
- Gabapentin
Direction
Take orally with or without food. Usually administered three times daily as directed by a healthcare provider.
Side effects
- Dizziness and somnolence
- Peripheral edema in lower limbs
- Fatigue and coordination problems
- Nystagmus or blurred vision
- Viral infection (in pediatric patients)
Precautions
- Monitor for suicidal thoughts or behavior
- Do not discontinue treatment abruptly
- May cause severe respiratory depression
- Dose adjustment required for kidney impairment
- Avoid alcohol during treatment period
