Indication
- Hypertension (high blood pressure) - Stroke risk reduction in hypertensive patients - Management of left ventricular hypertrophy
Ingredients
- Losartan Potassium and Hydrochlorothiazide
Direction
Take one tablet orally once daily, usually in the morning. Can be taken with or without food as directed by a physician.
Side effects
- Dizziness
- Fatigue
- Upper respiratory infection
- Orthostatic hypotension
- Muscle cramps
- Nausea
Precautions
- Contraindicated during pregnancy (fetal toxicity)
- Monitor for electrolyte imbalance
- Risk of hypotension or fainting
- Use caution in renal or hepatic impairment
- Contraindicated in patients with sulfonamide allergy
