Indication
- Secondary hyperparathyroidism - Renal osteodystrophy - Hypocalcemia in dialysis patients - Postmenopausal osteoporosis - Hypoparathyroidism
Ingredients
- Calcitriol
Direction
Take orally once daily or as directed by a physician. Can be taken with or without food.
Side effects
- Hypercalcemia symptoms
- Nausea or vomiting
- Constipation
- Headache
- Dry mouth or thirst
- Loss of appetite
Precautions
- Monitor serum calcium levels regularly
- Risk of hypercalcemia
- Avoid other Vitamin D supplements
- Excessive calcium intake risk
- Caution in patients with kidney stones
