Indication
- Treatment of Vitamin C deficiency - Prevention and treatment of scurvy - Supportive therapy for conditions with increased Vitamin C requirements
Ingredients
- Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C)
Direction
To be administered via intravenous or intramuscular injection by a qualified healthcare professional. Dosage and frequency are determined by the prescribing physician.
Side effects
- Injection site pain or swelling
- Nausea or abdominal cramps
- Headache or dizziness
- Diarrhea (especially with high doses)
Precautions
- Use with caution in patients with renal impairment
- Contraindicated or use with caution in G6PD deficiency
- Risk of kidney stone formation with high doses
- May interfere with blood or urine glucose tests
