Indication

- Edema from congestive heart failure - Hepatic cirrhosis with ascites - Nephrotic syndrome - Resistant hypertension - Fluid retention (edema) management

Ingredients

• Spironolactone and Furosemide

Direction

Take orally once daily, preferably in the morning with food to avoid nocturnal urination. Dosage must be adjusted by a physician based on patient response.

Side effects

• Electrolyte imbalance
• Dizziness or lightheadedness
• Muscle cramps
• Gastrointestinal upset
• Gynecomastia
• Increased uric acid levels

Precautions

• Monitor serum electrolyte levels regularly
• Avoid in severe renal impairment
• Contraindicated in patients with anuria
• Avoid in Addison's disease
• Risk of dehydration and hypotension
