Indication
- Hypertension (high blood pressure) - Reduction of cardiovascular risk - Prevention of myocardial infarction - Prevention of stroke
Ingredients
- Telmisartan
Direction
Take one tablet orally once daily, with or without food. Tablets should be taken at the same time each day for best results.
Side effects
- Dizziness or lightheadedness
- Back pain
- Sinusitis
- Diarrhea
- Fatigue
- Upper respiratory tract infection
Precautions
- Contraindicated during pregnancy (fetal toxicity)
- Risk of hyperkalemia (high potassium)
- Monitor renal function and electrolytes
- Use caution with liver impairment
- Avoid use with aliskiren in diabetics
